Meet my 2010 Winner -
Piquante . . .
Bayouash Cattery is an American
Shorthair Cat Boutique featuring only lovable, laidback “Cat-Fishin’”
type cats, but, at the same time, they can chase a laser light with the
“speed of a bullet”!! My cats are my joys! The breed is noted for once
being a hard working American
cat when they first appeared on the shores of the American,
now mine live the life of ease. They can sip mint
juleps or
indulge in a pitcher of ice cold lemonade under shady
Mimosa trees while waiting for an occasional mouse or so to scramble
by! The hardest job my Southern Belles and Gentlemen have is winning at
TICA/CFA Shows to make me proud, and they have! All my residents have
acquired Championship-Quadruple Grand Championship status in TICA.
My foundation cats hail from
PEI, Canada (Maureen Rummenie’s Rumscott’s Cattery); New York (Brian
Gorman’s Cupecoy’s Cattery); and North Carolina (Dr. Margot Mellies’
Miribu Cattery). The proud owners of these fine catteries have
encouraged and helped me beyond my wildest expectations! A special
“thanks” is extended to them (special folks who I consider special
friends and mentors)! Another “gallon” of gratitude is extended to all
in TICA, fellow breeders, judges, and spectators who have added such
wisdom to my “pea sized” brain about showing, fellowship, and cats in
general!
BAYOUASH is located near
Alexandria, LA in central Louisiana where at least two misplaced Cajuns
ended up and have tried to bring “Cajun joy and smiles” to all we meet.
Our primary breeding goal is to bring beautiful “mello” cats to families
to love, enjoy, and give them the opportunity to show their treasure in
a TICA or CFA Show or two and know the thrill of owning a winning cat!
Both TICA (BAYOUASH) and CFA (BAYOU ASH) register our Cattery. In TICA
we have the honor of having an “Outstanding Cattery” which is an honor
not taken lightly!
We will have kittens year
round for your enjoyment and pleasure so please contact us by
e-mail
or phone us at 318-992-2053 to see “what’s up and cooking”!
I am a proud
member of the National American Shorthair Club, The International Cat
Association and Cat Fanciers' Association.
